Ewa Villages Golf Course

Ewa Villages Golf Course is an 18-hole municipal golf course owned and operated by the City and County of Honolulu. Located in Ewa Beach, not far from some of Oahu’s most popular attractions and resorts—as well as numerous other golf courses—Ewa Villages Golf Course has been open to the public since 1996. Its Richard Bigler-designed course features Bermuda grass greens and fairways, and is considered a so-called links-style facility—meaning you’ll encounter here strong winds, pot bunkers, and few trees.

Ewa Villages Golf Course Highlights

The Ewa Villages Golf Course features three sets of tees: the blue tees measure 6,959 yards, with a slope of 127 and a rating of 73.3; the white tees measure 6,455 yards, with a slope of 122 and a rating of 70.9; and the red tees check in at some 5,595 yards, with a slope of 124 and a rating of 73.6. Regardless which set of tees you choose to play, the course is a par-73. The Starter’s Office here is typically open between the hours of 6:00am and 5:30pm every day of the week.

Windy Conditions: Many individuals who play Ewa Villages Golf Course regularly advise bringing extra golf balls with you, as play here is more often than not heavily influenced by strong winds that whip across the relatively treeless 18 holes.

Tight Fairways: The more precise you hit your drives and the more accurate you execute your chipping game, the more liable you are to enjoy your round at Ewa Villages Golf Course. This is because the 18 holes here are rather narrow, lined as they are by local residences and extensive out-of-bounds areas.

Challenging Holes: Keep an eye out for especially challenging holes here at Ewa Villages Golf Course, like the par-5 13th hole; it checks in at some 594 yards from the course’s longer blue tees!
