Waikele Country Club is considered by many to be the finest public golf course located anywhere on Oahu. Opened in 1993, this Ted Robinson-designed course is an 18-hole, par-72 beauty whose 6,663 yards possess a nice mix of striking water features, challenging bunkers, and pristine fairways—all of which comes with remarkable views of nearby landmarks like Pearl Harbor, the Koʻolau Range, the Waianae Range, and more. Amenities here include a well-regarded restaurant, expert-curated pro shop, and a driving range.

The course at Waikele Country Club has a strong reputation for being well-maintained. Its fairways feature Bermuda grass, while its greens are Seashore Paspalum. From its stunning first hole—a 399-yard, par-4 with views of the majestic Diamond Head—to the signature 300-yard, par-4 fourth hole, to the course’s most challenging hole—the 409-yard, par-4 14th hole, known for its rolling fairway and narrow, sloping green—Waikele Country Club is full of stimulating scenery, useful amenities, and a whole lot more.

Practice Facilities: There is a full-service driving range available to the public at Waikele Country Club, where you can rent usually rent a small bucket of balls for six dollars, a large bucket of balls for $10, or even get a deal on two large buckets for $16. The driving range is usually open from 6:00am to 6:00pm, with the final buckets being made available at 5:15. There are also two practice greens.

Pro Shop: The Waikele Country Club pro shop sells a variety of high-end golf apparel, accessories, and course-themed souvenirs. They stock men’s and women’s apparel from such big-name brands as Titleist, Callaway, Oakley, Under Armour, Polo Golf, and more. They even have their own Loyalty Rewards customer program.

Restaurant: Waikele Country Club’s in-house restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a focus on Pacific-Asian cuisine. It also contains a full-service bar where you can unwind before or after your round. Its dining room offers guests beautiful views of the adjacent course.

Things to Know about the Waikele Country Club

*While walk-ons are not strictly prohibited, it’s fairly unlikely you’ll be able to arrive at Waikele Country Club without a reservation and acquire a tee time in any kind of timely manner. As a result, reservations are highly recommended; non-residents of Hawaii can make reservations online or by calling the Pro Shop up to three weeks in advance of the desired tee time.

*If something arises and your plans change, Waikele Country Club expects you to cancel (or reschedule) your tee-time reservation at least 48 hours ahead of time. Otherwise, you may be subject to punitive club policies such as the “no-show” penalty, which could see you barred from booking future rounds online.

*Waikele Country Club requests all golfers arrive for check-in at least 15 minutes before their scheduled tee time.

*Waikele Country Club offers guests a selection of golf lessons to choose from, including their popular single-session, private golf lesson. This session lasts 60 minutes and pairs you up with the course’s PGA Head Golf professional, who’ll work with you one-on-one to improve any aspect of your game that you feel requires attention.

Waikele Country Club’s relatively central location near Oahu’s south shore (or “town side”) makes it pretty easily accessible for visitors staying in several of the island’s most popular areas.
